Founded in 2024, the Mental Health Insurance Reform Task Force is the legal and policy arm of BBH. It’s a national coalition of mental health advocates focused on:

• Holding insurance companies accountable to federal and state parity laws

• Protecting mental health providers from exploitation and clawbacks

• Investigating insurance lobbying, healthcare monopolies, and suppression of access

• Empowering both clinicians and the public to challenge systems of harm

We use legislative advocacy, litigation, education, and innovation to confront the policies and profit structures undermining care and to reimagine how enforcement, oversight, and community-led healthcare can work.

The Therapist Resource Institute (TRI), is a therapist-led membership community built to reduce isolation, increase clarity, and help mental health professionals build sustainable careers.

So that therapists and mental health professionals can restore autonomy, and reclaim ownership of our work, our data, and our future.

We are focused on you and your needs individually and together as an industry.

Unlike other places, TRI connects ALL mental health professionals across every setting and career stage to share resources, learn what no one is teaching us, advocate together, and thrive without burning out.

The Washington Mental Health Counselors Association (WMHCA) is the professional organization working to meet the needs of Licensed Mental Health Counselors in Washington State.

WMHCA is chartered through the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA), our national professional organization.

WMHCA performs its mission by working with other professional organizations, the state legislature, state regulatory agencies, insurance companies and consumers to promote quality in mental health counseling practices.  We maintain standing committees whose focus is to safeguard and advocate for Licensed Mental Health Counselors and their clients.

A listening and storytelling project, Hearing the Helper, collects and codes stories shared by those in the healing professions. In collaboration with local artists, we will share the stories and themes that emerge from our project through various artistic mediums for the public to hear, see, feel and interact with.
