Let's Get Unchained...

As the mental health field becomes increasingly shaped by corporate interests and algorithm-driven care, clinicians are being left out of critical conversations — and often critical decisions. This community is our space to educate, connect, and organize.

Welcome to Therapists Unchained, a vibrant resource hub and community dedicated to empowering mental health providers.

Here, we believe in the power of self-advocacy and collaboration, creating a space where providers can come together to learn, share insights, and support one another. As we navigate the evolving mental health landscape influenced by insurance companies and VC-backed/tech platforms, we strive to push back and champion the voices of those who are at the heart of mental health care.

Therapists Unchained is about reclaiming our power, building community, and sharing knowledge so we can protect the future of our field — together. Whether you’re a Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, Substance Abuse Counselor, Clinical Psychologist, or licensed in a different discipline who provides mental health care, you’re in the right place.

About

Welcome to Therapists Unchained

Therapists Unchained is a passion project for me. I've been working in mental health since graduating with my MA in Clinical Psychology with a Counseling Specialization from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2007.  I have worked in a number of settings over the years: community mental health, social services, school-based mental health, crisis intervention services, private practice, group practice, and a brief stint as the Director of Behavioral Health at an FQHC. I have been a Clinical Director, Clinical Supervisor, and a fierce advocate for taking care of clinicians. I am also a proud PhD dropout and small group practice owner in Seattle, Washington.
